No more would Gomorrah implore us
you got them bad
Beside them was Sodom
You caught them and got them good
House divided
where do I sit
I'm inside it when it collapses
Hallelujah
How do they lure ya?
Right back to the
one wonderless way
Hosanna
Both hands up
Gunned down but lovingly
House divided
where do I sit
I'm inside it when it collapses
Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
