Born on a blue moon
hanging like a loose tooth in the sky
Dare I regale you
As if it were some kind of doing of mine
But oh in that awful yawn
We're all full on
You break the dawn
but never get a sun
Now we're sleeping in
Just awaiting your blood will thin again
What do you live on?
If you live beyond?
What do you live for?
you live forever
Yeah I was sorry I was so relieved
If there isn't any rest for the weary
then no weariness for the rest I guess
But ever if you leave me
Every pill that Elvis ever ate wouldn't shake
the ache
But oh in that awful yawn
We're all full on
You break the dawn
but never get a sun
Now we're sleeping in
Just awaiting your blood will thin again
What do you live on?
If you live beyond?
What do you live for?
you live forever
Yeah I was sorry I was so relieved

Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst

I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
